I came home monday exhaused after a long day at work and all I wanted to do was stare at my tank for a bit and unwind. I noticed water on my counted top and it was dripping on the floor a bit. So after soaking up the water I noticed a small leak on the front bottom of my tank. The front pane had separated from the silicone at the bottom of the tank. PANIC! ;Drowning My LFS had closed, but thank goodness the owner had given me his cell, agreed to meet me at the store and had my tank in stock. I rushed to pick up a new tank and told my wife if the whole thing explodes, grab the fish and throw them in the sump. I got back to my house with the new tank around 7:15. It took me 4 hours to take everything out of my tank, swap tanks and set up the new tank. I cleaned up and left fans and a dehmidifier running when I crawled into bed about midnight. Not the afternoon I wanted, but definetely the best case scenario if you are going to have a tank leak.
Shout out to Greg at Jackson Fish and Coral. I happy to have him and his store.
And finally, everything set back up. I could not get the rockwork exactly like it was before, but I think I like it this way better.
All my fish and corals seemed to make it. I lost my 6 line wrass for about 5 minutes in this process and then realized he was in one of the rocks in the sink.
