Well, it has happened to me. This morning my 55 gallon freshwater cichlid tank started leaking from the bottom of course. After I transferred all the fish to a spare tank I have, I took the old tank outside to empty and clean. Using sawhorses to hold it up, I filled it up to find the leak. There are multiple leaks where the front glass meets the bottom glass along the caulk line. My question is, what kind of silicone caulk is needed to repair these seams? I'm planning on stripping all the silicone caulk out and doing all of them. Thanks in advance.

Silicone will not adhere to silicone, it must be removed from the area, glass cleaned and prep (acetone) before attempting to reassemble the tank.

either of these will work:

Unless you are planning on blowing apart the tank, just adding silicone over top will not work.
Yeah, not going to caulk over top what's there now. Just don't know what silicone I need and where to find it.
