Bad 150 leaking all over the floor

garbage cans ,totes , dripping or seam blowout ?
get fish in some thing ,corals next ,can drape wet towel over rock till someplace opens to get tub ?

kiddie swimming pool walmart opens in 3 hrs, poss farm or tractor supply open earlier ?
just adding possibilities while waitin for you to respond ,sorry

hanging with you,reply back as soon as you get chance,
take pics ,possible claim ??
side seam ,bar clamp ,ratchet strap , duck tape circle around tank, attach to itself go tight with 2nd layer.
all possible to help slow ??

First things first. You should not panic. Kill your breaker at the panel, you will be transferring life support to a bucket if you have a clean one. How bad is the leak, how much of it is already on the floor? Where is the leak coming from, and is it SAFE TO BE AROUND?

Usually once the wet stuff falls, that problem takes care of itself in the worst way. Still don't want to take chances.



Transfer heaters and a powerhead to a brute or a 5 gallon, and set the heater 3 or 4 degrees lower than normal. We don't want to heat things up too quickly. Powerhead either just breaking the surface, or if it's a gyre, under the surface just enough to pull a little air in. Set this up away from where you will be cleaning up.



Assess the failure, what caused the leak, and how did it start. Unlevel stand, seam failure, algae scraper mishap are the three biggest culprits in that order.



Unless it's a Red Sea, then it's just poor manufacturer quality.



This is going to sound callous, but it's triage mindset. Determine what has the highest likelihood of survival in the space you have available. You can always replace the rest later.



You should be taking pictures for insurance.



You should be keeping your personal safety in the forefront of your mind.

If my wife didn’t wake me up screaming then I would’ve slept through this all .

The first 10 minutes of panicking I felt I was still in a nightmare then I kicked in to drive

Alll the fish are safe . The corals are in the 40 gallon sump with carx and pumps still going . All fish transferred to 210g with fresh saltwater mixed .

I plan to move the tank tomorrow , lower the fixtures on the cables and leave lighting in place for coral . Hopefully I don’t sustain any RTN STN .

Plan A : find an aquarium same size at manufacture in LA . Keep the sump and metal stand

Plan B : upgrade while I’m already neck high

That depends on your policy, I would reach out to them and see if cleanup and remediation services are covered. Your tank and livestock may also be rolled into your plan, depending onnhow the agent classifies them.
