Hi everyone, just starting to fill the new tank (build thread to come) and wanted to get some last minute opinions on tank level. The tank is not far off at all and my previous 125 (rimmed on carpet) was about the same, and current Nuvo 10 is about the same front to back and a hair better side to side. The tank stand has plastic feet in the bottom and a support running along the bottom front back to support the weight of the sump. It’s a Versa 42 on wood floor btw. Eye put plastic furniture feet to fill gap on all back plastic feet as the last floor board slopes toward the wall. Any shimming brings the other plastic feet off the floor. Eye (IOS glitch so eye can’t type the letter after H) feel like the tank having support all the way around is more important than it being the current level. It is no more than 1/32 -1/16th off. Pictures below to Tank has a leveling mat under the tank and foam under the sump. Any opinions?

First picture is side to side, second is front to back, and the others are the sump foam and tank level if mat.

You're not much off but better save than sorry.
I've seen tanks over time spring a leak on the seams due to being of level as you put extra stress on particular areas.

If eye decide to try and fix it, how would eye fix the rest of the feet coming off the ground. Eye don’t have a way to get to the bottom back of the tank as it’s up against a wall. Also the brace on the bottom that’s supports the sump would have the feet come off the floor as well.

Can you take the feet off the stand? This would make it easier to shim.

Okay, you should be able to shim under the feet using those composite shims from HD or Lowe's or with wood shims from there as well. Composite would be better.

If just filling the tank with tap water to do a leak test, this is the time to shim. If not right, drain some water and shim again.

1/16-1/32 isn't bad in my book though. As long as it's equal from front to back on both sides. A large tank, such as a 6ft tank, I would make sure it was completely level and coplanar though.

You shim every feet on the stand that simple.
You might need 2mm on one end and 5mm on the other but it ain't that difficult to do.

Eye decided to shim and see how it went. Eye got it level, but cannot reach the back to see if the feet in the back are touching.
