Spent the last hour leveling the tank. I had 2 shims 12 inches long I bbn put 1 in front and 1 in back the did the left side of the tank with shims. Pics.

im thinking I might need to add more to the side there. I was following a video if Joey DIY, he said every 2 inches. but I wanted a little bit more than shims every2 inches.

I am not comfortable with wood shims. They are typically softwoods such as pine or cedar, and as such I don’t trust that they will hold up over time.
I will be filling my 90g in the next week. Tonight I was checking my floor and found that the back of the tank is about 3/16 higher than the front on one side, and 1/8 on the other. In the morning I will get a roll of laminate edge banding and use layers of that to shim. Plastic will not compress or be affected by water.

You are suppose to level it and let the tank sit for a week or so then you do that one more time as the weight slowly settle in

Composite shims are the way to go. Eventually you will get water on the floor and under the shims, wood will deteriorate.
