So I’m getting a 36x36x26 cube tank and thinking about getting 1 Neptune sky but not sure if it’ll be enough for a mixed reef im thinking of adding 1 XR15 on each side also what setup of flow would you guys recommend as well 2 mp40 and 1 gyre?

Bump for Neptune light users.

The 36" width makes it tough for most LED fixtures. It looks like the recommended spread for that fixture is about 24". The fixture is powerful at over 200 watts, so perhaps if you hang it really high and crank it up...

I know you mentioned the XR15s, but that doesn't really help the problem of the 36" width.

You would likely be better off with 2 rows of a different LED fixture. Like 2x2 of the XR15s for example.
Are you wanting LEDs for sure?

For flow, I think the 2 MP40s and the gyre would be a good start, along with your return pump. You may have to add another wavemaker if colonies get large and in the way.

No I’m not set on anything I’m open to anything I just heard the T5 type of lights which is kinda like the Neptune sky grow corals better and adding the 2 xr15 on each side so I’m covered in the spread department so everything’s covered

great tank size!!! i just set one up. i am running 2 xr30 and a tuna 360 in the back i might add another tuna 360. for flow i current have a icecap 4k and 2K gyre but i am thinking of adding 2 mp10 to the mix. good luck on the build

Same tank here. 2 mp40s will be enough until things grow in unless you use a ton of rock. I ran a gyre 250 as well but removed it because it blew the sand out of the front corners. Recently added in a 6095.
I run 8 T5's with 2 G5 xr15's in the middle to get about 300 par at the upper levels of the tank. Also a quanta strip in the front. So about 500 watts total.
