So i'm on the dense about getting a new 90g rimless cube(30x30x24) but the major thing that is holding me back is lighting this. What would you guys suggest it has to be a quality t5 fixture. I own a 36 inch power modular and love it. IMO I was thinking a possably 6 or 8 bulb 24" PM but would that be enough

i would either do a 6 -8 bulb 24" T5 set up or a 250 - 400W MH with a large lumenmax type reflector and radium bulb
i guess the biggest thing is what your theme will be for aquascape and coral types
either would work - just what you want
- i know that is not much help but lighting is personal
i decided to go 8 T5's on my 36x36x24 rimless cube and like it a lot if that helps

Try LEDs this fiture would really light up that tank!

I am running just 4 of the modules on my 55Gallon softie/LPs tank and they look and work great. If your 30x30 cube will be SPS I would consider the 24" 6 module fixture. The link is to the manufacturer's site but you can get this for 10-15% less at some of the hobby sites.

What are your plans for the mounting the lighting over it, Would you build a suspended canopy?

It would be hung, right now i am thinking this idealie

8 bulb ATI pm with 2 Reefbright attatched to the PM.

It would all be held up by two steel pipes from behind th stand coming up and over then the Pm hung by those pipes.

Hints why i was about to buy the reefbright from you to try it out on my current 50g breeder.
