Hi guys, I wondering what everyone does in terms of daily, weekly maintenance on there tank.

On my 400 gallon reef I do:

1%-2% daily water changes, and top off with 5 gallons of RO/DI

Daily replacement of 25 micron filter socks

Dose 90- 100 ml of vinegar

Dose 10 teaspoons of Tropic Marin Bio-Calcium

Weekly I blow off the rock with a small powerhead

Weekly clean glass with a magic eraser original and mag-float

Bi-weekly I scrape the coralline from the glass at the sandbead

Monthly I vacuum out the sump.

Hi guys, I wondering what everyone does in terms of daily, weekly maintenance on there tank.

On my 400 gallon reef I do: I have a 180g mixed reef, 70g anemone tank and 120g sump/refugium

1%-2% daily water changes, and top off with 5 gallons of RO/DI 30g water change once a month, 2g+ of RO/DI top off with alk & calcium dosing

Daily replacement of 25 micron filter socks I have 4 drain lines and 2 run 100mic socks about 60-75% of the time and I chage them when they get dirty (5-7 days)

Dose 90- 100 ml of vinegar No carbon dosing, no nitrates or phosphates. Even my macro algae doesn't grow. I do dose a bit of iron and a half teaspoon of sodium ascorbate

Dose 10 teaspoons of Tropic Marin Bio-Calcium 400ml of dowflake calcium and 400ml of soda ash (alk) mixed into top off water and dripped into the sump

Weekly I blow off the rock with a small powerhead I have 'spraybars' behind my LR wall and I blow off the rock by 'turning up' the flow on the sump pump, but the rock is very rarely dirty.

Weekly clean glass with a magic eraser original and mag-float My wife cleans the glass and scrapes coraline as needed. BTW, I love my wife... she also cuts the grass!

Bi-weekly I scrape the coralline from the glass at the sandbead I never really touch the sandbed

Monthly I vacuum out the sump. Vacuumed the skimmer section once in 2 years, don't really see it as an issue.

I'm just about ready to start seriously fraging corals as they are starting to grow into each other.

75 gallon tank i...

Clean protein skimmer every other day

Top off water daily

Clean filter socks every 2 or 3 days

Clean glass every 2 or 3 days

Dose B-Ionic Cal & Alk daily

Do 15 gallon water change every other week

Feed corals twice a week with Coral Frenzy

Im about to start dosing Kalkwasser daily when i get my package in the mail this week

Tank is about 10 month's old:bigsmile:
