Tank malfunction

So I wasn't home, roommate got home, heard the fish tank making a funny sound, hose came off back of AIO, he put hose back on, dumped over a gallon of cold distilled water in there, still wasn't enough to cover pump, so turned it off. I headed home and got more water but tds is rated like 130 or something but it was the only water I could find in the middle of the night thats not chlorinated, microwaved it threw some salt in there before adding and got it topped back up. But my salinity dropped from 1.026 to 1.023

What can I do tommorow to try to save my tank?
Fish look fine crabs are still moving but with a salinity drop/temp drop that quick what am I looking at for damage in the morning?

Not sure when the pump started spraying out, temp drop was for about an hour, no water pumping for oxygen for anywhere between 1-5 hours but suspecting shorter since nothing was gasping, and pump still works after pumping dry. 29 gallon tank
Dropped from 1.026 to 1.022 for an hour and I got it to 1.024 now gonna top with salt until it gets back

I wouldn't raise it back up to fast tbh. You will stress the tank even more . You might have gotten lucky. Do you have corals in the tank???

Agree ,leave at 1.024 tonight , watch and raise to 1.025 tomorrow ,
IMO , at 29 gal would run 1.024 stable ,risk of evap at 1.026 climbing too high too fast
sounds like you dodged a bullet ...

That drop is not a big deal. Top off with saltwater for a couple days until you are back to where you want it.

Temp went from 80-74 almost instantly when my roommate thought putting cold distilled water in was a good idea before he called me

And my BTA which is probably the thing that'll be the worst off in guessing
