I set up a 40 breeder for the fuzzy dwarf lionfish I bought, and since then I've been trying to figure out some tank mates for it. Here's what I've come up with, please let me know flaws in my plan, or things I need to be aware of.

Fuzzy Dwarf Lionfish 7" 50g feeder shrimp, then maybe silversides, table shrimp, mysis, brine, etc...

Snowflake Eel 24" 50g probably feeder fish/shrimp; frozen or freeze-dried krill, fish, shrimp, and most meaty foods Tight fitting lid. Add next to last.

Wartskin Frogfish 4" 20g feeder fish and shrimp, then maybe silversides, table shrimp, mysis, brine, etc...

Leopard Toby Puffer 3" 30g squid, krill, clams, and hard shelled shrimp to help wear down their ever-growing teeth.

Flame Angel 4" 70g Spirulina, marine algae, high-quality angelfish preparations, mysis or frozen shrimp, and other high-quality meaty items Add last.

Spotband Butterflyfish 5" 70g finely chopped seafood meats and algae-based meals.

I'm not sure of the puffer now, because I don't know about the whole wearing down the teeth thing. That was new info to me.

Anyway, thoughts?

Here's the tank I'm talking about. It's plumbed into the existing 75g sump that I use on my 190g.

I would skip the frogfish, though the sizes listed are their max size, when acquiring fish, many will come in smaller, and a frogfish is capable of eating fish 25% larger than themselves.

I would be reluctant to the butterfly in a 40g as well, they get pretty big, I've seen spotfins get close to 7"
