tank move

Hi

I'm moving a 250 litre tank into a 400 litre tank I'm taking the sump as is in my old tank and adding new sand a bit of sand From the old tank and a bag of new live sand.

My question is as in Basiclly just adding all the livestock to a bigger home with more volume provided I mix enough water for the difference say 150 liters a few days before is the move pretty straight forward

Has anyone done this any tips

Moves are pretty easy.
I've used my bath tub to hold the fish and all the water I can get in there. Mix up the difference in 55g drums. Move the tanks, rinse out the sand really well, as this is really gonna mess up the tank if you don't. Put sand in, rock then fill.

Did you clean the tub before using it? I'd be concerned of soap residue getting into the aquarium water.

You could just wash it with bleach, rinse good and add some prime to be on the safe side.
