Tank Movers Needed!

Well folks I am possibly moving out of Atlanta and up to Philly or South Jersey. I am wondering if there is a professional tank mover. More than that, cause I know that my LFS will move a tank, I need someone that will move one out of state.

Is there a service that will do that for me?

I dont have any knowledge about this but maybe contact LFS where youre planning on moving? If they dont offer any services maybe they know someone local that does. Good luck!

I would call some LFS and get their thoughts on moving a tank they may know someone who is experienced. Maybe try calling a few moving companies and see if they specialize and things like fish tanks.

I think I’ve seen post of companies that do this but can’t remember who it was...

I know of 2 LFS' in my area that would do it, but I'm pretty sure it would end up costing the price of simply purchasing a new tank with that kind of distance. And if you want the complete breakdown in Atlanta, and complete setup that far north you are looking at baskets of cash.

I used Moorish Trucking in South/Central Jersey for my tank move. I've heard the LFS in Jersey also use them. They were great. I ordered a custom 250 gallon 60x36x27" tank (3/4" glass) and custom steel stand. That thing was a beast!

I would expect to have a company load it for you in Atlanta and then have a different company ready to do the set-up when you get to the destination.

Great for sure if OP has it loaded in Atlanta and uses a U-Haul trailer, then has these guys do the install.
