I have been waiting for the WaterBox 230.6 Plus to be in stock and it seems that this will never happen and I need to order my tank this week, (well I want to). If I am not going with WaterBox that leaves me open to go with a tank over 200 gallons like I wanted to initially, but decided against it because RedSea and WaterBox didn't go that high and I really wanted the most trusted and reliable brand, but I'm not waiting any longer.

SCA and ATM both have tanks that I am considering, but I cannot get much information on. I know SCA has had very bad reviews in the past, but does anyone have any recent feedback, especially on the larger 200+ size tanks? There is a lot of info on the smaller tanks, but nothing at all on 200+ tanks and the description on the site is blank.

I have contacted ATM sales and they are the worst sales team I have even dealt with. It's like they really don't want to sell tanks, (well at least not to anyone other than rich and famous people) and they only answer 1 out of every 5 questions I ask. There are absolutely no reviews online that I could find, but the pricing and size of their tanks is too good to not try and follow up on.

Here are the links to the tanks I am considering:

SC Aquariums 240 Gallon PNP: http://www.scaquariums.com/product-p/sca-240gpnp.htm

ATM Platinum R255: https://www.fishtanksdirect.com/atm-platinum-aquarium-r255.aspx

ATM Platinum Line: https://acrylicaquariums.com/fr/store/platinum-line-aquariums

SCA ships from CA and the tank is in stock and would get here to AZ pretty quick and ATM has the tanks in stock and ships from NV so it would be here pretty quick as well. I am also considering taking a road trip to pick either up since I have a lot of time off for the holidays and want to start my build ASAP.

Any opinions, suggestions, reviews, or comments will be very much appreciated. Thanks in advance!

I haven't had or seen any ATM tanks myself, but I do own an SC Aquarium and love it. I had mine custom drilled and made to specific dimensions.. It comes out to around 165g I believe.

No complaints whatsoever, other than perhaps it width being 1/8" smaller than it should be. Grand scheme of things, it didn't make any difference though. Silicone was clean, eurobrace was even, and it is built well.

Good luck on your purchase!

ATM use to be top line. Now it's like this. I have a 100 grand come set me up the way you want to.

SCa- Pricey
try glass cages

Also, they make Acrylic Tanks, (it's in their name) and these tanks are glass. Lol

I was able to find a video where Brett was talking about the new Platinum Line of home aquariums and he said, "They have to be good for us to put our name on them" so I am assuming they do not make them at ATM. I specifically asked them and I got no answer so I have no idea who actually makes the tanks.

How long have you had it and did you get the stand and sump also or just the tank?

I was comparing glass cages and SCA when I made the purchase. I'd definitely recommend reading lots of reviews before making your purchase. Especially on how they handle broken in shipment and any fabrication issues.

I'm fine with the price, but I will check out Glass Cages as well. Thanks.
Glass cages makes pretty good tanks. Make sure you read on how to handle broken in shipment. On a KEY NOTE, A lot has had theirs crack and loose seal. This is mostly from big tanks sitting on homemade stands. Not the tanks fault. Just kiltered stands they was sitting on.
