tank options in 12" X 16" space

Thinking about. . . another tank but only have a tiny spot (unless I throw out some of my wife's USELESS books to free up a shelf).

My wife's *useless* books are packed up in boxes and I turned her former storage area into the new fish room. It can be done!

Yeah. . . I told my wife I was taking my shelf back (I converted the unused spots on my aquarium rack into shelving), and she got angry. . . something about "but you promised no more tanks". . . I can neither confirm nor deny making such a statement. . . seems like her usual wifely tricks to me!

FYI I ONLY have 2 tanks

Get rid of the 2 tanks and get one really big tank. Technically, less tanks.

They have a frameless size 6 which is a 11.5 inch cube. That one is 6.5 gallons I believe. They also have a size 3 which is 9.25 inch cube and is 3.4 gallons. I haven't found reference to either being drilled online before, but have found people who drilled the larger sizes of frameless cube without difficulty. That said, aqueon is known for swapping out tempered and non-tempered panels at will. Your best bet would be to look up how to tell the difference between tempered and non tempered bits (typically you need polarized sunglasses and a white piece of paper or white phone screen) and then go to the store with that and look at them yourself to see if they are tempered.
