I just checked my temp it was at 86 i just added 3 ziploc bags with icecubes and am increasing ventilation in the room, reading is 84 right now. Should I turn the heaters on so when it goes down below (if it does) 78°, My heaters sill keep it there? Im really worried my tank is 110 gallons and population is 2 clowns should i add this ice pack to cool it?

Do you have a fan blowing over the water?
Nah but ive got a big fan plugged in
I'd get the ice pack in it now. Wouldn't worry about your heaters. Fan pointed at the top water would also help a lot.
Im unplugging the heaters as per my dads request, even though theve been off i dont wanna risk it

Place a small fan to blow air over the water ether the sump or display. Turn off the lights.

I turned off the lights this evening, im brining big fan up close to open cabient to ser if that will do anything
All you need is a small fan blowing on the water surface. Evaporating water coolers the tank

Why did it get so hot? Were your heaters stuck on?

I'd highly recommend this set up

Inkbird Itc-308
Appropriately sized heater
120mm case fan with printed mounting brackets.

The inkbird is a controller that will safeguard your rank from exactly what happened tonight. If heaters stick on, or house a/c goes out, whatever. When it gets hot the inkbird will shut off your heater and turn on the case fan to cool things down

An additional bit of info:
ALL aquarium heaters WILL break. Their design uses a bi-metal conductor that twists back and forth as water temps change. By using the inkbird, this no longer happens the same way. Even if your heater breaks and is stuck in the on position, the inkbird will shut it off.

Some links for you
Inkbird - Amazon $50 (there is a 30$ version without wifi
Fan - Amazon 15$

Brackets - Amazon/etsy also $20

Those three items paired up with your existing heater will safeguard your tank and peace of mind.

It's hot in that room and not well-ventilated, I don't know if it was from heaters being stuck on but I doubt that helped. I do have an Amazon gift card so I may get an Inkbird, are these hydros compatible cause I'm probably gonna be expanding hydros gear, i have the pump controller along with 2 gyres coming

Honestly I don't know about the hydros stuff at all. I think it's automation? In that case, once you go to hydros or whatever automation system you have chosen. The inkbird would not be used with your new system.

Simply stated, the inkbird is a temperature controller. It wouldn't piggy back off of another temp controller but operates as a stand alone unit. It wouldn't interfere with your pump controllers at all

Yeah, hydros is like an apex, a controller. Im guessing you just use it the same as an inkird, labeling an outlet as the heater and having it turn off when the temp goes too high from a temp prob

In that case you could choose to use the hydros port and controller, or the inkbird for temp.

My solution was an inexpensive room air conditioner. Not only would your fish be happy, but so will you being in a cool room.
