Randy,

I have been out of town for a couple weeks and my alk isfown to 5.9. Would doing a 50 galwc on a 125 with 15gal sump be to much of a swing for everything in my mixed reef. If this is not a good idea please any help to fix the issue would be greatly appreciated. They are only on this tank work a couple more weeks but need to keep everything healthy.

I think boosting the alkalinity with baking soda may be a lot easier to boost alkalinity.

Do you have a specific target alkalinity?

This shows how much to use:

Reef Chemistry Calculator

I have brs 2 part for the new tank should i use it and how much should i boost it a day. I am trying to get to 9dkh is my target.

Ok thanks for the help hopefully corals start looking better

Cal was at 420 so i am much more worried about the alk. But i know I need to add both. So should i add the same amount or just what is needed to hit targets then add same amount of each everyday

IF YOU HAD TO TAKE A REEFING EXAM, WOULD YOU PASS?
