hi all i just had a few question my tank has been running for around 8 months ish and i don't have much in just a few fish and 3 sps. my tank is around 125g with sump and notice my alk drops from 7.2 to 6.5 in a week so i have been dosing it with soda ash to get it back up. i only test mag and cal about once a month as there is not much in it that would use it up. i have found that the mag and cal have dropped pretty far when i tested today and would like to know that best way to dose to get it back up .
my alk is 6.5 and will dose for 7.2
cal right now is 380 and would like 440 and it looks like a have to dose 767ml
mag is 1250 and would like it 1350 and looks like i would need to dose 1008.06 ml
my question is for dosing that much what would be the best way to go about that ? i was reading for cal you shouldn't dose more then 50 ppm a day and mag 100 ppm a day just dont want to make a big jump and want to make sure i do it the right way .
