I have no fish or corals yet, so I am using only 1 AI LED light. Once I get ready to add the other items, I'll suck it up and purchase the 2nd LED Light.

This is an 80 gal tank I purchased used on CL with a corner overflow. I have about 85 lbs of man made live rock with about 80 lbs of live sand. (Not too sure that I belive that "live sand" stuff) I have a sump that is noisy with the never ending waterfall sound. (Durso Pipe) Any suggestions to correct this would be great.

I refinished the stand and canopy from a cherry wood to this, to make the Mrs. happy. :)

So far I have 5 Turbo Snails, 3 cleaner shrimp, a small hermit crab, and 1 conch snail... Hoping to pick up some more stuff tomorrow.

Thanks for checking out my tank!

glad to see someone end a post with Boomer Sooner! not to mention the crimson colored walls and cream trim :)
as far as the noise: In my oppinion some stock Durso's are very loud. depending on the brand, some are worse than others. If there is noise in the overflow look at tuning the drain standpipe. the entire drain should be a non glued slip fitting so you can pull it out and work on it.
as far as the sump noise. I assume it is the drain crashing into the water that is the noisy part. I like to convert the very end of the vinyl hose into hard plumbing, and convert it to 1.25" plumbing. I like to us a Tee fitting a,d add about 1.5" into each side of the Tee. then drill about 20, .25" holes in the bottom side of the Tee. I then hang a 7" filter sock on the end. instant mechanical filtration, and if you measure correctly and the Tee ends up about a 1/2" above the water line, it will be very quiet.
