Hey! I’m starting to get sick of my current 200L cube tank due to a couple of reasons: I don’t like the fish swimming vertically, the cabinet is to cramped and the overall size is just to small.

I’m looking at something similar to a reefer 350 in size. Could both be a standard tank or a peninsula style. My main problem is that I can’t seem to find a good spot for it.

I took some pictures (sorry about the mess, just snapped them before heading of to work) of the spaces where it would ideally go. We have a bunch more rooms but I would like to have it in the “living” area if possible.

I used to have a peninsula tank instead of that little table but the wife really wanted a table to put stuff on when we had people over

This could be an option for a spot but we have a cat who loves perching on this ledge and I’m worried that he’ll end up in the tank

Another idea would be to have something that would run the whole length of the glass here but I’m not sure that blocking the view is the best idea.

Would love any input since I’m a bit stuck at the moment!

This wall, big tank! That would be the best dinner conversation starter I could think of!

Cool! That has been my thought as well. Just a bit concerned about the noise level. Guess som MP40s and stuff might solve that.
It won’t be bad at all. My 90 is right next to my table as well. Just do a herbie overflow, my overflow is my noisy part...(going to replumb it sometime soon). I even have gyres are those are known to be noisy, I haven’t heard a thing

Yeah, I have a herbie overflow today that’s dead quiet [emoji1303]

To be honest, you get used to the gentle hum of the equipment and sound of water moving. It’s not too bad. Ive always had mine next to the table, we love it. Best seat in the house, we eat in front of it everyday.

After relocating I still wanted in back near the table, it’s a relatively new set up.

I photoshopped a tank in place behind our sofa that my wife didn't think it was a good idea, and when she saw the tank there in the picture she changed her mind....4 months later I have a stand and tank there pretty close to the photoshop idea. This picture shows the before, the photoshoppe, then the actual.
