Hi All,
I used to have a simple 75G reef tank years ago in my apartment. I am now in a house and am planning an addition of a family room that will include a new tank - around 115-150G. As this is a new addition, I have the opportunity to plumb where it will make sense as long as not cost prohibitive. Regionally, I am in NY.
1) water changes
- does it make sense to plumb R/O output next to the tank to refill/mix water for changes? Would put stop valve to ensure no overflow.
- do folks do some kind out outgoing plumbing from tank area to waste so we can do tank changes without using buckets? Going to be wood floors so trying to reduce damage scenarios where it makes sense.
2) any other sites/article you would recommend I review for ideas as well? I have looked at a few random ones.
3). Do folks generally do chillers now? In an apartment it was different and I am on the fence if it is necessary.
Thanks in advance for your advice
