I hate to say this, because it's going to sound harsh, but I'm not impressed much. It's less of a strain on the wild populations, but in my opinion it's still just a fish collection business. Once they learn to spawn and raise them in captivity, I'll be impressed.

+1 FishLipz. While it is nice that they are able to train them to eat prepared foods, it raises the question of how long it will last before they go feral. Look at all the posts here and on RC about how their ORA mandarins wound up eating nothing but pods and then dying to being placed in a system that hadn't matured. I wonder if the same would happen with the wrasses & CBBs?

Great article. When the bangai cardinals first came out, they sold for a $100.00. It through these types of efforts to rear marine fish that makes taking care of them less challenging and more rewarding. I'm hoping some breeder out there will start breeding black tangs and gemmatum tangs so that the prices start coming down.

Now THIS is something to impressed over. A TRUE captive bred fish. Not a wild collected fish thats been trained to eat captive foods. Thank you for sharing
