Looking for my first reef tank ever.
I tried looking up what tank I want first, but so many others suggested on Reddit to pick fish first.
Didn't really like the community over there, most people just told me to do my research when asking for a recommendation.
So thought I would ask here!
I think I have gotten my fish list down now.
Curious how many gallons I would need to be looking at for these.
I will be adding coral at some point. But wanted to start with fish first.

2x Clownfish
Starry Blenny
Yellow Watchman Goby
Pistol Shrimp
Clown Goby
Longnose Hawkfish
Cardinal fish
Royal Gramma

You will want at least a 55g but for the little extra cost and gaining width and volume, a 90 gallon will serve you well. I recommend a reef ready tank with overflows

Picking fish...
Skip the clownfish - evil demon spawn
Clown Gobies are cool but can be tough to get eating
Royal Grammas are hit or miss for aggression

I suggest you pick a tank you are comfortable with keeping maintained first. Consider water changes, lighting and space. Add reasonable fish slowly as your tank matures. Just my 2 cents.

I would suggest that you forget about the marketing hyperbole "reef-ready". Buy a tank that has overflows.

Hi, so I started 14 months ago with a 60 gallon cube off facebook market place. Reading these forums I have done everything wrong... so don't be afraid to make mistakes. I just decided to move up the chain and have a 100gallon on a pallet in the garage. (Post surgery limitations so I stare at the box every day waiting for being able to move forward ... 1 more week.) So back to my thoughts... love you fish combo pretty close to mine, fyi.. a school of Chromiis are fun as well. That said, plan on coral and fish, hammers, zoas, so when you ask what tank. Where will it go, how much space do you have and what can you afford... cuz crap this is all so expensive . With that many fish, probably yes 60 plus. If you can get to 90 or better it give you more options for future. Best of luck

Sorry did forget to give some details. my budget would be 2000 to 2500 for the tank and equipment. Was looking at AIO tanks. seem easier of a setup for noobs. as far as space not sure yet. don't want something to take up the entire room just yet. The cubes seem nice. just want to make sure the fish will be happy

I went with the Innovative Marine 100EXT. After some thought, I skipped the AIO. And AIO owners feel free to chime in if I'm wrong and I probably am they sell a lot of them.
The "ALL" is in the back.. the back is against the wall... if you need to get down in there and clean I heard it can be a challenge. So having the sump helps. Maybe??? Also the a 100gl AIO is more like 85gl operational space. You give up some to the back. I do like the cube I have, but the rectangle gives more "Across space" for rock and coral (I hope that makes sense)

This is all true...

This would do you well, and save you 1000$ or more compared to other companies. 83 gallon with 26g sump and 9g ato + cabinet and plumbing kit

48x20x20

There’s only 15 left then the deal is gone forever..

if you would ever be interested in any other inverts with this list. Don't be. The longnose hawkfish will eat most inverts. I think other than that this would be a great 55 gallon tank

Reef Ready has Overflows and the reason I suggest reef ready where it leads to a sumps for servicing and components

aHHH....so basically a tank with overflows
Yep

Agreed. I had a 75 before my 90. The 90 looked A LOT better. And bonus....I could put more stuff in!!
