Hey guys,
I am new to the hobby and ended up getting a used tank (120g) and after a few months of cycling, etc., my tank started leaking.
I have lowered the water and re-siliconed the inner corner seam where the leak appeared to be coming from with no luck. Then I resealed the outside, but again, its still coming through. So I am preparing to drain all water, remove live rock and sand and then completely rebuild the tank. It appears the seal between two panes of glass has been broken due to the glass bowing in the middle of the top on the top side.
I went to local fish store (only one) and they don't do repairs. Is there anyone on here from the New England area (Western MA specifically) that has experience with this and would be willing to help me out? I am not confident in my abilities with this type of thing and really dont want to have to do it again later. The glass is in great shape, trim also is nice. I don't have $400+ to buy a new tank of this size and I custom built a decent stand for it also, so want to stay with the 72" tanks.
I have been and am so excited to start getting livestock for my tank, but now thats on hold obviously. I have been so patient, but I am starting to wear thin. Any other suggestions would be appreciated also.
Thanks,
Dennis
