Morning, yesterday I drained my tank and took all equipment and rock out. I'm now ready to sterilize everything. I had aptasia, GHA and dino and cyano. ich and velvet. I am now QTing all fish in garage that has A/C

All coral got moved to my wifes 10g and that is full now lol but it was my safest option as it's a mature 10g

TELL ME WHERE I GO WRONG OR WHAT I NEED TO DO INSTEAD

I bought vinegar & non-scented bleach, i also have citric acid

100g Display tank steps:
1. Wipe down exterior of tank + stand with a homemade natural cleaning solution
2. Fill tank with bleach + city water
3. Circulate for 24h
4. Air dry for 24h
5. Rinse with city water
6. Air dry

Equipment steps:
1. Put equipment in bin (city water+ vinegar OR acid?)
2. Sit for 24h
3. Dry for 24h
4. Rinse with RODI

I'm sure ich might of made it into my water station in the garage due to cross-contamination with what I use to check salinity
Do I need to completely drain and fill that station with bleach + city water and let that circulate same like tank then let air drain ?

I’m pretty sure you will see all but maybe the aptasia again though.

The fish need to be treated in QT with copper for 30 days if your disease diagnosis is correct otherwise it comes back into your tank.

everything is being cleaned so im not sure how, could you elaborate?

I'm decided on vinegar + tap water for 24h then i am air drying then rinsing with rodi or tap water, then i will fill with sand and water while the rock dries/sterilizes in vinegar + air drying

Anyone have an opinion on the water station? I might just go ahead and drain that and run vinegar as well or let it air dry for a week with nothing in it

The GHA, Dino’s,and cyano are all part of having a new tank commonly referred to as the ugly stage. There are ways to minimize them and I’m even told avoided but you will likely deal with them again. As far as the diseases go I cannot comment as the extent of my knowledge is limited to leaving my tank fallow following ich. I imagine a rip clean would take care of it in THAT tank but again I really don’t know. Hopefully someone will chime in as far as the diseases go.

Appreciate it, yeah I’m understand that algae is in every tank. I’m more concerned about the pests / parasites.

My problem is the GHA /Dino’s got bad from being lazy. I wanted a reset. The Dino’s I got was not an easy kind to beat and it’s been many months. As soon as it almost was gone, it bloomed right back with cyano

GHA started bad when I went away and let someone feed my tank pellets & I sold my big yellow tang. Months of that it progressed even worse. Then Dino’s hit and cyano because of low nutrient and my water source was bad

Dipping and quarantining all corals followed by observation should cut back on the pests significantly.
