I am going to be upgrading my ATO to a larger reservoir so I want to install a back up inline float valve just in case. Can anyone tell me if this fitting is tank safe? As far as I can tell it's just regular PVC and will only be in contact with water is something good goes wrong (so no frequent/extended exposures).

Anything will help. Thanks guys!

As a side note, are there any threads on here or sites online that have an overall "what's safe and what's not" for different materials?
