Woke up friday morning to the bottom rear seal of my 75g leaking. Took a lot to gather myself and take care of this. Plus closest saltwater pet store that had a new tank is 60 miles away. Decided to re-use stand and canopy and upgrade to a 90g. Pre-drilled this time. All my livestock is in corner of front room in a 30g rubbermaid tub. Im sure we all deal with issues with our tanks, disease, equipment failure, whatever. But never thought id have to deal with this big of an issue

Sorry to hear that! I hope nothing was ruined.

How early did you catch it? How old was the tank? Did you buy is used?

Number one cause of tank failure is not being level. Double check it when you set it up. Fill it with a few inches of water and check again.

Was really close to level. New tank had been checked today several times to make sure it is exactly level. Old tank was sold to me as new but who knows. CL buy there. Tank was almost 2 yrs old. I woke up to hearing my return pump sucking air, caught it early. Lucky.
