Tank set-up question

Any one use these lights??

Im looking at buying my son this.
Desktop Aquariums by Tetra | Sleek Crescent Design: 3 or 5 Gallon Tank

He is really getting into saltwater corals and fish. Just getting it for his room. The lights look nice, would they grow some mushrooms, zoas, and toadstools?

Not sure if it will grow much of anything. Have not used one before so I could be wrong but the led light it comes with does not seem powerful enough.
