I have a chance and a really good price for a Deltec TC2060. But Im a little worried its too much skimmer for what my tank will be. Im in the process of picking up a 180 gallon display, with 77 gallons of sump / refugium. So ill be around the 225-230 gallon total volume. And being a new set up, stocking will come slowly. Will this skimmer work for me? Thanks in advance

Yes, it will definitely work for you. It may be a bit oversized, but it also gives you some room for running a more heavily stocked tank down the road. It's rated for around 370 gallons heavily stocked. When it comes to skimmers, I always err on the side of caution and get the next size up. Since you need a pump for it anyway - just get a DC one and then this will give you the ability to regulate the flow.

Thank you for the reply. It comes also with a Jeboa DC3000 pump. Is this skimmer capable of being a recirculating skimmer, using the 2 pumps? Or would I just swap out the stock Deltech skimmer pump with the Jeboa in its place?
