hi all,

I'm currently getting prices for my next tank, and I'm undecided what size to get. Currently I have a eurobraced 150g tall, 48,30,24 which is pretty good size but for aquascaping and coral growth but I really love the brs160 tank but not sure how limited I will be with 20" deep/ tall.

My current options

L. D w
60 x 24 x 24 euro braced centre weir
60 x 20 x 24 rimless centre weir
60 x 20 x 20 rimless with ghost overflow

I can only go ghost over flow if I have a width of 20" unfortunately. When I measure 20" against my 30" deepth it looks like a huge restriction in aquascape and room for corals.

Here's a shot of my tank taken some time ago, since the photo I have some hammer corals and acans. There's a BTA which is obscured by a rock but there's still lots of swimming room. The rock rock closest to the photo the fish can swim completely under the middle rock and round the side and to the front, must be a 12" tunnel.

I'd go with the 60x20x24 The depth is awesome with 24 inches and with a 20 inch height you're not as likely to get your pits wet when reaching the bottom.

Yeah that's what I'm heading towards, either that or I'll get a red sea reefer 525xl. Some of the quotes I'm receiving for thr tank are not that far off the price of a redsea 525xl when I factor in the cost of a diy stand, consumables and time etc.

Definitely more "floor" real estate. I'm looking at a new tank and having that same discussion

I would go with the 20" tall rimless with ghost. Rimless looks best between 16" and 20"

Yeah the brs160 looks amazing, I know it's 6ft vs my 5ft dimensions but I can,t get planning permission from the boss :) :) I'm just thinking about swimming space once corals grow out
