I’m wanting to upgrade my tank size I currently have a 65 gal. I’m wanting to go to a 125 gal. I’d obviously add more live rock and substrate but my filter is already big enough it’s a filter that I’ve used for 1 1/2 years. Would I be able to put the water from my 65gal to the 125gal and not have to cycle the tank again before adding my fish back to it

Not recommended to reuse sand unless your going to wash it. The water is of little value when you're technically doing a 50% water change. If you could keep 65 running while setting up new would be optimal.
I wanted the 125 to go where the 65 is at right now. I can do all new substrate that’s no issue. I have a 2 day window from the time my kids leave and when they come back so I was trying to find a way to have it all set up for when they got back

read in full, really good upcoming move there
