How do you guys decide your tank size if space is a constraint. I live in a prewar apartment in Manhattan and want to get a custom reef tank. don't think my floors will hold a 60gallon plus sump. so far i have 2 tanks, a 30 gallon with 15 gallon sump and a 20 gallon im penninsula. I have run out of space and would like a bigger tank but don't think will ever get my dream tank for as long as I live in the city. Any input would be appreciated. Thanks, Rich

You might consider a shallow reef. You could get one of those fancy ARID cheato reactors and use that instead of a sump with filtration.

I put a 80 plus sump on the 3rd floor of a 1970s house converted to apt. I think 60 you would be ok but up to you

prewar building in new york means 1880's apartment building
