Tank sizes for tangs: Help us create a list!

I'm asking a serious question, According to this list it seems like it would be doable. Don't want to do it if it's not advisable.

I apologize for my response, this topic is just so policed, there is no telling what answer you would get. Some say, no tang in anything under a 180, 120, 110, 75, 55, and so on. Just be responsible.

I agree with Aquaph8. I have a Yellow Tang in my 75 gallon tank (48.5" x 18 1/2" x 21 3/8") and she is happy (bright yellow and not white line) but she does rule the tank. I would say my tank is the smallest a Yellow Tang should be housed in and I am considering a larger home for her

Vampire
Regal
Scopas
Some white looking tang

Is what I have in my 175. And the next comment is what I got kicked off of RC for.

They all love each other. :) no fighting. (As of yet) for 2 years if having them.

Like people said earlier... be Responsible with what you put, IN what you put it in.

And my regal was the size of a quarter. Even got stuck on a power head in the first week.

Just reading through this thread, and I take it no tang would be fine in a 60g cube 24x24x24? Thanks!

Check out some of the gobies and cardinals and maybe even a small blenny.

I'd stick to maybe a single Mccoskers or a possum in a tank that short. I wouldn't add a cirrhilabrus or Macropharyngodon species.

I have a 120g reef tank with a 30 gallon sump. I have 125 lbs live rock and a mixture of t5 and led lighting. My question is, I have a sailfin tang, 4 clowns, and a lubbock's wrasse. I'd like to add another tang, what's the best choice based on compatibility and reef safety! Thanks! Excited to be a newbie on here!!

Some may disagree with this, but tang size directly proportional to tank size. Sure hippos get big, but mine is in a 4 foot tank, fat and happy, and has been for quite some time. She is maybe 4 inches.

I have one tang, a Regal tang and it swims in a 180 and seems to love it, those fish are fast, if they have enough room to get up to speed..

Actual size in a small tank I will be stunted growth and unhealthy in the long term, but of course I have a hippo tang and a sailfin in my 4 ft 90

In my club, I grow out tangs for the local public aquarium. I am looking at a small naso next
