short and quick have you done anything to it today

Tank looks pretty new; but, has some established corals in it that look to be doing prety well. What has changed since yesterday? Has anything been sprayed in it? Any kind of aerosol spray?

Looks like you have a bac bloom, if you just added corals and fish this can happen.

How old is your tank?

i was thinking algae bloom by the green sheen

change socks rt away

I would do another large water change, probably 20%, and would change out the filter socks/floss/whatever you use for mechanical filtration.

mechanical filtration Won’t do much for an algae bloom... installing a UV will get it gone quick. A water change will weaken populations but unless you do something to kill the remaining (UV), they’ll just repopulate in the new water. If you don’t want a UV, just let it ride and it’ll be gone in a day or two.

I moved the coral out and turned the lights off and the tank is clearing up

are you running any activated carbon?

Lights off, lots of surface agitation. Lights off to slow the algae growth, lots of surface agitation for gas exchange. Big algae blooms can suck all the oxygen out of the water, suffocating the fish.
How high are nitrates?
