Long story short my chiller died in November after 13 years

did not replace as going into winter-northern illinois

also am going to a 180g from 120, switching to dc pumps and my lfs thought might not need a chiller as the additional water would take more to warm up

waiting for equipment to come in for upgrade

Tank is running 80 degrees, mixed reef

Have not seen any issues in the tank, is this going to be an issue-paranoid reef keeper

80 degrees is fine. My tank routinely gets hotter than that in the summer and it is very old.

Same.

I run mine at 78F in the winter. During the summer it routinely hits 85F during the day. SPS doesn't care as long as its not elevated for too long a period. Shallow coral reefs on the equator have swings more severe than that.
