Tank transfer method EVERY 24hrs?

Can anyone who tried or any experts weigh in on the effectiveness for every 24hrs transfer? plan to rotate 3.....5 gallon buckets to ensure complete drying.

My very first thought— a lot of extra/unnecessary work— but so long as you keep things moving forward with transfers and are careful about cross contamination, it would work if done for enough days.

Trying to eliminate both. I'm familiar with both of their lifecycles but I'm concerned because I have 2 fish in a 5 gal bucket and am worried about ammonia buildup after 24hrs

that's a bit too generalized to give appropriate feedback for. What kind of fish, how big are they? I've done TTM on a traditional schedule in volumes of water as little as 2.75 gallons with multiple fish. Just needs to be sized accordingly. I monitored ammonia and found no appreciable levels by the time i moved them to the next tank. Every transfer adds stress and increases risk of dragging something along. aerate the vessel best you can with a stone and if you are super concerned with ammonia add some prime after 24 hours. Will save you hassle, headaches and $$. just my two cents

As well as I understand it transfers every 72 hours takes care of Ich. Every 24 hours would take care of velvet. Hybrid TTM takes care of both. This involves 2 peroxide baths 6 days apart. Humblefish’s forum is the place to be to get details on this. Actually his forum is the place to be when it comes to Quarantine period. Not to say there’s not knowledgeable people on here though. 36 hours would work for velvet also. You just wind up doing stuff in the middle of the night.

You can sure transfer every 24 hours. Remember that heaters and airstones need to also be changed.

I wouldn't be totally confidant in it treating velvet. But, after 12 days, you would know if your fish have velvet.
