hi,
im currently in my first transfer and was wondering if i can use natural sea water, or even let it sit in storage for 28 days....can i use fresh seawater??? thanks for any help

^^ Agree; however I would store it for at least 15 days before using, to eliminate any potential pathogens that may be in the water. 15 days fallow will starve any ich, velvet, etc. free swimmers out of the water.

WHAT WOULD BE IDEAL is to use a UV sterilizer to transfer water from your collection vat into the tank. If run through slowly enough, a properly working UV should eliminate any pathogen which passes through the light.

This. I was going to say no, but this man is right.

yes i live in Australia and the water was collected from the high tide with fresh water, and yes i do let it sit for 15 days and do have a UV sterilizer but have not used it yet....thanks for the info guys thanks :)
