@mcs Is the cleaner shrimp picking things out of his gills or just inside the mouth? If the latter, he is probably just eating/cleaning his teeth. Koles are bristletooth tangs after all.

I am afraid I do not have good news. Yesterday the kole hid a bit more than his usual and did not eat well. This morning I found him lethargic and pale. While I was setting up a tank for treatment, he died. This is a picture. I did not notice the white patches until after he died. Not sure what I should have done differently The OT tank has both an ammonia alert Seachum and a seneye - both still do not register a problem. Poor little guy. Feel awful.
Fortunately he was alone in the ot. Should I leave the ot fallow for a period of time before getting another fish?
We wonder if the stess of the transfer method was too much?
