Completed the first batch of fish
- flame angel
- yellow tank, blue tang, fox face tailspot blenny and firefish

fish went in looking horrible
13 days later 5 changes they are in the hospital tank - which is completely sterile and no spots seen as of yet. If I seen any spots I’ll be very upset.!!! As I cannot fault anything I’ve done.

Put a freshwater Black molly in with them, if it doesn’t show any signs of illness in a week or so, call it good ;)
I tried that last time and it didn’t work still have the molly - it’s going through TTM with my other fish now. For some reason it was the only fish to not show any signs of ich where as my other fish looked like the pictures in the original post. Not sure what happened there

Oh well that is strange..had the molly been in saltwater prior to this?
you could just acclimate the molly back to freshwater now if you wanted as that would be easier than TTM with it..
No bought it as a freshwater molly 3 of them acclimated them over 5 hours and they been swimming happily ever since. It’s fine to TTM it as a saltwater molly because I’m doing it with a few other fish so no extra hassle

You should be fine. I'm so thankful for this method. If not for this, I prolly wouldn't have gotten back in the hobby.
It does show instant results - but last time I did it not sure how but still ended up getting ich 3 days after the treatment - so just going to monitor. This is the last time I’m trying to treat them only because the TTM seems easy to do I opt’d for it again otherwise I would 100% leave the hobby

Just seen my blue tang scratch on the decorations in the hospital tank - no signs of spots but AHHHH I’m going to lose it honestly

Can you get chloroquine phosphate where you are?
Although saying that regal tangs don’t seem to like that
Next thing would be hypo salinity
Pretty sure I can get it - was thinking about doing hypo but I think I’m done now - just seen my coral beauty lying on it’s side breathing heavy in the TTM tank. Everything going down hill AH

You can utilise a hydrogen peroxide dip on the fish to give immediate relief of symptoms although temporary will buy you some time..there’s a thread by humble fish on how to do it on here somewhere
I don’t have any on hand and I doubt the fish will make it to tomorrow morning :(

Last night the coral beauty and the Lamark angel both lay flat on their sides at the bottom of the tank - breathing heavily - didn’t think either would make it - did a Tank transfer 1 day early and they are swimming around and breathing normally - most likely a ammonia spike - but haven’t a clue how this affects my TTM now

Are you sure its not Velvet? You can do TTM for Velvet, but the transfer is every 36 hours. I have done it, but its a pain because of the way the time works. good luck. Frustrating for sure.

Pretty sure it’s not velvet as fish have had it on and off for more than 3 months
