So i have a good plan so far but seeking any further advice on what is the best way to go about this mission.

My dad is holding my tank which i will sell, i have sold most of my fish to minimalize. I plan to bring with me to my new tank.

Pair of clowns
Comet betta
Dragonet

I have a few lps and softies but the most concerning specimen is my pink gigantea.

Im currently setting up my 2.5ft cube (about 400L including sump). I have plenty of buckets and also 4 x 65L drums with airtight lids. I am going to put new sand in but am planning packing my LR and bakki rodds in buckets of water. I was also thinking of filling the 4 drums to transport water from the established tank. The rest i would mix a fresh batch when i arrived home. The fish would be in seperate buckets with battery airstones. The corals also in buckets. The gig i can either put in a bucket too or i was just going to go past my LFS and have him bagged with air and put in an esky.

Its winter here but in Oz its not very cold at all so id try keep the temp stable. Is it worth taking water from the existing tank and should it be airtight or aerated? The drive will be just over 8 hours, a few short breaks every. Couple of hours.

I hope if i do everything right i think i can pull this off. Does anyone have any other advice or experience doing this?

Any tips or thoughts appreciated [emoji111]

A thermos cooler, and battery operated air pump will get you right through this.
