I upgraded from a 35-gallon system volume up to 95. Switched out everything including all the live rock I had in the display and in the sump. I had a refugium going with live sand in that.

My upgrade was from cvue 26 gallon modded with a sump, to a CAD 70.

I decided to leave the live sand and go bare bottom in my new tank.

What type of considerations should I be thinking about during the acclamation period?

I had good algae growing all over the rocks, but this new tank has nothing. I'll be dosing beneficial bacteria daily for 2 weeks. Would this be good enough to keep everything stable?

I only have two small fish, two shrimp, small cleanup crew, and quite a softies and lps.

As long as you are moving the live rock from your previous system, and not adding a lot of livestock right away, you will be fine. The beneficial bacteria is mostly on the rocks and will move to the new system. It will then spread and grow on any new rock you have in there.

As long as your transferring your current LR over, 99% of the beneficial bacteria are present on, and in the rock. Your not increasing your bioload right away, so you know your current bacteria population can handle the current bioload. The transfer shouldn't present an issue in that respect.

Are you using dead dry rock as an addition, or more live rock?

If live rock, you may want to cycle outside of the tank just so there is no ammonia spike from a little die off. If dead dry rock with no organics on it, just scape away with the new rock and addit into the mix with your current rock.

You may not go through a new "cycle", but you may go through another stage of "uglies" until the new rock ages.
