Tank Transition Questions

Hi Folks,

I am transitioning from my 120 gallons to an 80 gallon tank. The 120 will likely be picked up way before i can set up the 80.

I am thinking about setting up a temporary tank to hold the corals using a small portion of the sand and live rock from the 120. I can set up a canister filter (unseeded) as well. It will take me about a month before the 80 will be ready.

Does anyone see any problems with the plan?

Put a skimmer in the tank. You can even get a rubbermaid tub and put everything together.
