So. My tank sucks. All of my sps are dwindling away except a few pieces. I have cyano that comes and goes. Lps look good. Zoas look good except mg uter chaos. Really not motivated for it as I've been working my tail off. And family life is busy.

But tonight. I fed and noticed something odd. Mr mans didn't come eat. Flash light time.

Yup. There they aare. Small batch if Aussie black percula eggs. Not sure if this is a first batch but darnit if they didn't lay them on the overflow and not a removeable piece of pottery.

Both mom and dad guard and swish them. I can see eyes already too. Tomorrow ill get the big camera out and try to get a sharp photo.

That is really cool Lindsey.

About the tank, can you still not figure out what is taking out your sps? Are you still battling the same problems you have been for the past several months?

Paul.. YES> same thing. I havent been really motivated to do anything about it. too much else going on.

I did some testing this afternoon. My alkalinity was 8 DKH phosphate was 0.02 and my nitrates were right about 10 ppm. I am growing coralline algae like crazy right now and not really having an angar problem in the tank accept what dust the glass every couple days. My *** tank is spotless except for some hair algae that's grown on some plugs with nothing to keep it under control. Aside from doing a few massive water changes I'm really sort of puzzled as to where to go next with the tank.

What exactly is happening to your sps? I am by no means an expert but I am pretty good at googling lol. Maybe someone dropped something in the tank or the stock tank in the garage??? Do you have some sort of pest? Just thinking out loud.

As of this morning all of our eggs have hatched and are gone. We will see how long it takes for them to lay a second batch. Later on this spring I'm a try and put a tile against the wall for them to lay on.

Another clutch of eggs has been laid. Well over 450 of them. WOWZA.

I been thinking. I have alot of cyano growth in the 180, but NONE in my frag tanks. Stil not getting SPS growth in the frag system though. Zoas look good and the bottom is almost completely covered in Coralline. That stuff grows like MAD.

I'm truly sad to see your overall system not doing the best but it's cool to see some surprises as well. This hobby, as you know well, takes a LOT of work and often times life just takes priority, gets in the way. Whatever you decide to do I'm sure it will be amazing. You have certainly done your part to help ensure the reefing immunity in Mid TN continues to thrive and thank you for that. I still need you to show me some of those fishing honey holes someday;) Good luck and here's to hoping you find why is best for now.
