So here is my tank before, a what I believed was a cyanobacteria outbreak and some hair algae.I knew that I don't have enough rock in my tank. I wasn't using ro/di water (just ro) but after about $600 I got a ro/di unit, 25 lbs of BRS dry rock, a 4 bulb t5 unit, and a Jebao PP8. At first I did some spot spraying if hydrogen peroxide and that turned the hair algae white I did about a 90% water change but the cyanobacteria came back. I started cycling my dry rock using but decided to add it to the tank sense I only have 2 clownfish and a yellow watchman goby 2 hermit crabs and 1 green emerald crab. I started my research I read some threads watched some videos . So I covered my tank and dosed 1ml for every 10 gallons( 65g dt with a 20g sump but total water volume about 75g total. After 4 days I uncovered my tank and I was happy happy happy. I know these are not the best but I will do another in the am.

Nice. Fwiw, cyano seems to thrive where orgaics are. Such as dead hair algae.

Thanks. I got most of it off but I pretty sure it came from some hermits that died I had 5 now down to 2
