Tank upgrade 100% water change?

So im upgrading my 40b doubling the volume originally I started the old tank with non rodi but filtered water just through my homes carbon filter I installed. I'm about half way through filling with rodi in the new tank but should I do 100% fresh rodi or half new half from the old tank?

I would use both. Your critters are used to the chemical make up of your current water so it might be easier on them to acclimate.

All your beneficial stuff is on the rocks and substrate so if you're not taking the stuff from the 40gal you might as well do all fresh. Your pods your biofilter is all on surfaces that's how people get away with 100 percent water changes and don't lose their biofilter.

I'm leaving the sandbed and taking the rock and refugium
