Black sand from who knows where?

Keep an eye out for used equipment for sale...I see vortechs and TEK's all the time....

I have that exact same light fixture and i love. IMO white sand looks so much better than black

I'll definitely keep an eye out on the local reefing forum and also craigslist for some of the items, who knows what I'll run across. Not too sure about the sump yet, just looking for something cheap that I can do the baffles myself.

Well I'm picking up my new tank tomorrow.

95g 48"x24"x16"
All Starfire, found on Craigslist, I'm feeling lucky. Will post pictures once I get it :D

Sweet dimensions on the tank!

Yea its the EXACT dimensions I wanted. 48 inches so I can load t5s all the way across the canopy. 24" wide so I can have nice rockwork along with a sandbed to put my chalices and acans. 16" tall so I can easily reach anything in the tank.

I have to admit Rev, your tank is an inspiration and I hope mine can one day look that good.

Got my new tank, although I'm really dissappointed with the placement of the existing overflow so I'm going to take it off, seal some glass over it and redrill with a glass-holes kit. No pictures yet :)

Just wondering if someone can point me in the right direction. I plan on using an 8 bulb 54w Tek T5HO fixture over this tank (48" bulbs). I'm not shooting for astronomical growth rates with my coral but would like decent growth along with phenominal coloration. My sandbed is going to be Tahitian Moonsand incase that makes any difference in selection of bulbs (idk why it would). The tank is only 16" tall so I realize that I have to be extremely careful with which bulbs I choose and how low the fixture is to the tank. Any suggestions on bulbs? I've heard the ATIs are great.

Also talked to the Grim Reefer on RC and he suggested this bulb combination for what I'm trying to accomplish.
