why would u run a sump if your going to use hang on filters? If u use the sump, make a filter sock holder, maybe fuge section, skimmer section and return section. If u don’t want to run a fuge cut it out and just make a large wide open euro style sump. I personally would cut the hang on stuff.

Welcome to R2R! Your tanks sound awesome. Would love some pictures. Here’s my two cents, not that it’s worth even that much. If you’re setting up a tank with sump and all after having HOB, just set up the siliconed baffles and do it “right” from the start. Love the profile pic!

theres a million ways (well, a lot) of ways to set up the tank. A sump can be anything like an extra tank to hold all the equipment and add additional water volume to the system. From there it can be made into refuge sections, skimmer section, return pump chambers. Really depends on what you need it to do.
