Tank upgrade

Hey reefers I’m going from 112g to 230g. My question is what is more important to get first a protein skimmer or lights? So right now I have 2 hydra 26 on my 4 ft tank and a reef octopus 150 int. the new tank is 5 ft so what should I get first to upgrade

Personally I would say lights and then upgrade skimmer as needed since lighting consistency is more important and when setting up a tank initially your bioload is likely very low and just use the current skimmer in the meantime.

sounds good what LED's will you put with it, also if doing that option you could go, t5 fixture, skimmer and then add extra LED's as needed / wanted

With T5’s definately for softies and LPS, not sure for sps, might be worth renting a par meter if you can
