So I'll soon be upgrading from a 75g cube with a 10-15 gallon sump 85-90 gallon total water volume. to a 120g with trigger systems elite 36 inch sump.. My question is should I do a full cycle on tbe new tank or van I just transfer over water from old tank and add the difference.

hi,how about a pic of current tank, sand ..def rinse sand before putting to new tank!,but yes can be done no problem, provided ,no probs with current tank :)

If you transfer all of your rockwork and filters over then your tank should be cycled. It's the bacteria in rock and sand that matters for the tank being cycled, the water itself doesn't really matter.

Thanks for all the advice. I'm definitely putting in new sand and some new rock I'm also going to be transferring all my old rock as well but new skimmer new sump using the same klir filter roller but new roll of coarse. New pump. For the most part all new. I'm just going to go ahead and do a full cycle sounds like that's the way to go I appreciate all the info I have the time so I might as well do it right.
