Tanks and Plants

I have a nice piece of furniture that my wife got me that sits next to my tank. I keep all my additives and things in it. Been thinking about adding a live plant to compliment my reef tank. Can’t just be any plant. I want it to be as challenging as maintaining a reef tank.

My initial thoughts are a Banzai Tree. I hear they are difficult to keep. Anyone have experience with this? And if none, what are your thoughts on this?

I don’t know anything about them or if they are hard to keep, but mangroves are really cool if you want to plant it in the aquarium.
