Hi bowen. To be honest i just made this thread https://www.reef2reef.com/index.php?threads/232517/ to introduce myself nothing more. It have some older pics from start and equipement i use but build thred is on Croatian reef community site which is here

New to the aquaforest products. Just recently switched over to the reef salt. Have a 210 gallon tank sps tank with a few acans, blastos and lobos. Want to know can I just use the B, E and V and dose accordingly or do I need to start with the components 1,2,3? Water parameters are listed below. I'm dosing with fauna Marin balling salts...alkalinity, calcium and magesnium.

Alk 8.5
Cal 430
Mag 1350
Phosphate 0
Nitrate 0
Salinity 1.026
Temp 77

Thanks

Hello,
You do not have to be using Component 123 to start the coral supplements. Should you choose to go the Probiotic route, I would lower Alk a bit, but other than that your parameters look great. Component 123 is similar to balling, but also has trace as well. You could use your balling mix until it is used up, then switch over if you like. If you begin to dose Build, Energy and Vitality, begin 1/2 dose and make observations. Amino Mix would also work well too :)

You could run the B,E, and V until you run out of the other products the switch over to the AF 1+2+3+ balling ingredients

Question, I am using the reef salt, 1+2+3+, NP Pro, Pro bio s, I feed heavy. and my question is; what do I use to control the red slim algae. I pulled the bio pellet off line on the 21st and the red algae is coming back with a vengeance. I do not what to use chem clean, I want to control the red slime.
No3 8ppm
Po4 .02 and below

Cut feedings a little incrise water flow if you can and do regular sw changes. It should go byself in few weeks

Honestly I would stop dosing NP Pro and reduce feeding. I stopped dosing NP Pro and stirred the crap out of my sand bed and cyano was gone after a week or so. dosed 1 drop a week ago and it was back the next day. Since then I haven't dosed and it is gone again. You could try it out for a week or so to see but Just my opinion.

Thank you, I have a ton of flow.

would you run the Pro Bio S?

That's what I've been doing since. I don't know what it is about the NP pro my tank doesn't like. It's weird because I've seen people use it and have no cyano (at least in photos) but if I get a tiny bit of it, it's on my sand bed the next day.

I had a little cyano at one point . All I did was throttle back on the dosing of the np pro and pro bio s. I'm supposed to dose 4 drops of each daily. I dropped it down to 3 and the cyano went away.

Do you only have red slime or any other type. Use vibrant it will get rid of the red slime quickly. I used it and it works fine...

I am dialed back to just about 0
